Our Data Network

Protecting the NotaryPublic.com National Registry database, your NotaryPublic.com notary email and our corporate network are all equally important to us. That's why we've housed our entire data network safely in a 6,600 square-foot, disaster-proof, world class Datacenter.

The NotaryPublic.com Datacenter maintains a 750 KW generator with a stocked 1,500 gallon fuel tank enabling our facility to run for up to a week without reliance on outside power.

Our Liebert HVAC system keeps our servers nice and cool and our battery backup systems maintain the integrity of our systems in the event of an unforeseen power outage.

The NotaryPublic.com Datacenter features:

Carrier class features for Internet connectivity
  Fire suppression
  Redundant UPS systems
  Generator backup
  Redundant HVAC
Closed circuit monitoring of all areas and entrances
  Card key access
  24 hour guard manned security
Constant Flow of Data
NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER
NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER

Our Network Operations Center is maintained by fulltime network administration staff, composed of a wide variety of IT professionals. They come from a diverse background of Datacenter operations, network administration, programming, and network security from both the government and private sector. There is always at least one member of the NOC team on staff at any given time, and up to 10 during normal business hours. A cornucopia of software is used to monitor the network, power, and Datacenter environment. Should an anomaly occur the NOC systems monitor display will alert anybody in the office, and a paging system is used to notify those out of the office.

SUPER-FAST REDUNDANT FIBEROPTIC CONNECTIONS
SUPER-FAST REDUNDANT FIBEROPTIC CONNECTIONS The data from computer equipment within the Datacenter and from the Datacenter to the outside world is transmitted over fiber optic connections. All fiber takes redundant paths throughout the facility as well as having redundant entry. The cross connect panels for the fiber are also located here. The core of our Datacenter is located in the main transport room.

Fiber exits the Datacenter through divergent 4-inch conduits to the outside. There are one to ten network operations personnel on location 24 hours a day, 365 days a year monitoring the servers' status, camera system, and network traffic.

BGP info - The BGP protocol allows for the routing of data sent out from our network. Each data packet is evaluated and sent over the best route possible. Because of our redundant network architecture, packets may be sent via alternative routes even if they are being delivered to the same destination. Should one of our providers fail, packets leaving our network are automatically funneled through another route via a different provider.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL Our facility stays cool with proper ventilation, fans and AC condensers.

Six, 20-ton Liebert HVAC units guarantee industry-standard climate control in our facility.

Our HVAC system is controlled centrally. We have a rotation system setup so not all of the units are in use at once. This not only will prolong the life of each unit, but also provides us with 2 spare units at any given time. The units monitor both temperature and humidity. Troughs with leak detection are run underneath every section of pipe connected to the HVAC units.

Our Datacenter is constantly monitored for smoke and fire. Approximately 48 smoke detectors throughout the facility guarantee the quickest, most precise detection.

AC AND DC POWER
AC AND DC POWER Our facility has its own power feed directly from the largest energy company in the region. A Telcom standard DC power plant ensures that power source is completely independent of the building's power, providing added reliability and security. The main power comes in to our facility directly from the outside transformer. Total incoming power is 480V and 4000 AMPS. This is a tremendous amount of power and could support an expansion of over double our current space size.

A benefit of utilizing both AC and DC power is that it adds redundancy. Our servers have dual power supplies, one running off of AC the other DC. If all the AC were to fail (this includes the UPS and the generator) the DC would be unaffected.
